Residual income with listbuilding and traffic exchanges.

Changing the focus – Defining a focus

Since a couple of years, I tried to build up a residual income on the net.

But it didn’t worked. Well I get 1 referral here and another one there, but nothing to build up an income.

So I stoped nearly everything I was doing and took some time to understand what was wrong. Basicly it I made the “common” mistakes:

  • I had to many programs, I tried to promote
  • I was not focused on a goal beacuse I didn’t had a clear goal.

My goal was “earning money”. But this is not a real goal.

So, I changed my goal or better I started to define a goal. My main program from them was “TrafficWave”. I like the program, like the compensation plan and also I thing it is a great program to promote, since everybody who is serious on internet marketing must have an autoresponder.

The second question was where I should promote this program. I decided to use Traffic Exchangers and Safelists.

The first month didn’t really pushed me, but since 2 weeks I start seeing some results. Here is the standing of my TraffivWave Account today:

During the next weeks I will clean up this blog from all posts which are not related to my goal and also write some posts with my experiences and advices.

Be sure to keep an eye on this blog and please leave your comments.

Many greetings, Bettina

Lessons I Have Realized From John Chow

Who’s John Chow?

Well, as far I do know he´s a fairly successful entrepreneur and dot com mogul from Vancouver, Canada.

Apparently he rose to fame with The TechZone. However I´ve by no means visited that website, so…

I am nevertheless a fan of his blog JohnChow.com.

Actually it’s the one semi-personal blogs that I read regularly. Principally, I simply learn different area of interest-blogs on private growth and blogging.

John Chow’s weblog is principally concerning the internet and running a blog – often with thoughts on the business aspect of issues – mixed up with odd ramblings about, and photos of, things he eats.

While reading John´s blog for a few months I´ve realized a factor or two. Listed here are 5 of these lessons. Some are new, some are good reminders. Most are rules that apply not just to blogging however to many areas of life.

1. Be consistent – I´m, increasingly more, changing into a firm believer that one of the largest keys to success is being consistent. John posts very often and with nice frequency. The weblog features a few semi-short posts virtually day by day of the week.

Being that consistent might be one of the largest components to his blog growing so fast. Every time you go to there’s always one thing new and – 7 instances out of 10 one thing – fascinating to read.

2. Be proactive – John´s networking skills appears to be a lot more energetic and creative than that of your average blogger. He quickly expanded his MyBlogLog community by holding a competition for everybody that joined. In the present day that neighborhood has over a thousand members.

He has additionally expanded his a part of the pay-for-shopping network Agloco to an impressive 6000 members by networking and running a blog about it. And he created the clever Adsense-advertisements that said stuff like “I like Steve Pavlina ” or “I love Darren Rowse” and positioned these advertisements on their blogs.

Almost every week John Chow reminds an newbie blogger like myself about the significance of being proactive to be successful.

3. Maintain optimizing – John Chow often writes about new plugins for blogger-software WordPress or about different new opportunities for bloggers. However he doesn´t simply weblog about it but truly exams things out and, after some time, reviews back. He appears to always be experimenting to optimize his blog and business.

Each little bit counts in every part of your life. And those little bits quickly add up to vast improvements.

4. Mix it up, lighten up and have some fun – One of many huge components that always retains me coming again to John´s weblog is that he writes effectively and, pehaps much more importantly, keeps a lightweight mood in all his posts. I like how he manages to share a bit about his dining out-experiences and different personal stuff now and again and never make it boring or that incongruent with the rest of the posts.

For some cause it looks like his mouth-watering photos and restaurant-evaluations match proper in with remainder of the site. And that mix plus the consistency in tone and mood makes the reading a whole lot extra fun.

5. Give. Sooner or later you shall obtain – In a few brief months John Chow has gone from making zero bucks on his blog to making a few thousand dollars a month. Not bad. And although he´s the “self-proclaimed root of all evil” John seems to be a pretty good guy.

He donates all his weblog-earnings to his church and other charities. I believe John´s sharing and giving perspective actually is a big factor in his fast running a blog success (and possibly earlier successes too).

What goes round always seems to come around. Sooner or later.

Top Tips To Be A Guest Blogger

There has been lots of hot talk on guest blogging of late. After all, who doesn’t love to welcome guests?

But not all guests are as welcome as others – there is a big difference between “good” guests and “bad” guests. Everybody loves guest who are respect our homes and our sensitivities. We try to avoid guests who who show no more respect for our property than Pooh Bear did with Rabbit’s honey (just before getting stuck in the rabbit hole’s entrance).

Are you interested in guest blogging? You can do it, even if you are not a professional blog writer. The following are the rules you’ll need to follow in order to be the welcome guest that blog owners seek.

Do your research first. Get to know the blog.
- Does the host blogger use high-brow language or down-to-earth slang?
- Are posts one-sided or are they more objective?
- What tone does the blogger use? (casual, humoristic, academic, irreverent, serious)
- What topics does the blog cover?
- Are all the posts long? Short? Medium? All different lengths?
- Is the writing top-quality and truly original…or are they just a new wording of well-worn ideas?
- Are posts mostly of a practical nature or more philosophical.

You want to write a guest post that will fit in well, so study carefully what the blogger does and try to emulate his or her style.

Next, make sure what you write is truly interesting. Even if you are writing for a very serious or very formal blog, you can still find colourful ways to write. you can always use stories and analogies. Stories make your guest post stand out. It’s a secret that writers know. Politicians use stories. Commedians use stories. Jesus used stories. Guest bloggers can use stories, too.

Third, bring value to the host blog. This might take some effort determining what the blogger might want. Why you? What makes your posy of interest to the host blogger? The truth is, some bloggers just won’t be interested. Not every blogger welcomes guest bloggers. But many do.

Many bloggers want volume – more content.

Are you an expert specialist? You might be able to boost the blog’s credibility?

Do you have the gift of promotion? Many bloggers would welcome your guest post if they known it will be well-promoted.

Have you noticed if the writer handles English well? If not, you can offer well-written posts.

This might seem a bit repetitious, but study the blog. Not only will that give you clues about how to write the post, but also about what you might need to offer the host blogger to convince him your post brings value to his blog.

Fourth tip or rule is this. Approach only those blog owners who welcome guests. A good tool for finding guety-blogging-friendly bloggers is MyBlogGuest.com .

Let’s end with the obvious, since you are probably wondering why I did not mention it earlier. Write well. If you write trash, your post will be accepted on a trashy blog. You get what you pay for. Not every “opportunity” is an opportunity.

Follow these rules, and you’ll probably do very well in your guest blogging promotion, whether as an SEO campaign, as a traffic builder or as a means of reaching out and building more credibility in your field. Guest blogging can be fun, and it can be rewarding when you do it right.

Is Yor Blog Useful

Have you ever considered how you could make your blog more useful to the people who are reading it? Sometimes it’s a good idea to take a step back and analyze what purpose your blog is actually serving.

In the past people started blogs as a way to keep in touch with each other. Social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter it pretty much eliminated the need for that.

Today more bloggers start a blog to make money at home more than any other reason. However, I do think it’s confusing for the average person to really have a clear picture of the purpose their blog is serving.

In my case I’ve recently started to think about how I can make my blog more useful. I want to drive more traffic and develop more repeat visitors. I guess this is known as blog marketing, but that really isn’t how blogging should be viewed.

1. Be consistent. I think this is one of the hardest things about blogging.

Once the initial enthusiasm of starting a blog wears off at times it can seem like work. This is especially true if you blog in niches you have no interest in.

You are better off to hirer an article writer that has an interest in a specific meaning if you have no interest in it. At least you can consistently add fresh content that appears to be written by somebody who enjoys what they’re writing about.

2. Interview successful people. No matter what the theme of your blog is there are people who are more successful at it than you are.

We all enjoy reading interviews for the knowledge we can gain from them. This is a simple way to make your blog more useful.

3. Current events. Subscribe to Google alerts for the keyword phrase that relates to the theme of your blog. This is a simple way to be kept up to date on what is going on in the marketplace.

It is also an excellent way to provide useful information. Blog articles do not need to be long and a short current event article of 200 words can be more effective than a longer article that really is not useful.

4. Stay focused. Many blogs lose their focus as they ramble from one topic to the next.

If you keep a very tightly focused blog on the niche you are in you will find it’s much easier to provide relevant information. It’s also easier to increase the number of RSS subscribers or email subscribers you have to your blog.

5. Videos. I like to use Article Video Robot to create videos out of articles I write. You can also submit these article videos to You Tube with this service.

It’s easy to get the embed code and paste it in your blog post. You can make these videos as fancy as you want them to be, but just adding videos to your blog makes it more lively and useful to your readers.

Subscribe to some of your competitors blog updates. Take a look at what they are doing and come up with more ideas to make your blog more useful!

Does Your Content Attract Visitors?

Like most people surfing the web I’ve seen my share of bad websites. When I say “bad” I don’t mean naughty or inappropriate websites, I mean bad websites. Websites that are just simply so terrible and unappealing that you can’t hit the back button quick enough. As a web developer or blogger this is the last reaction that you want a visitor to have. After all, the goal is to attract as many people as possible to your website or blog, and keep them interested in staying there as long as possible. Generally in conversations with other web designers the discussion of how to increase website traffic or how to increase website ranking will come up. But what web publishers should really be discussing and investing more time developing are ways to keep visitors interested in the site. What’s the point in worrying about how to get traffic or increasing your ranking if your visitors immediately navigate away from your site?

Of course having an appealing and aesthetically pleasing design is key, but the most important part of any site is the content. Keep in mind, content is King! You could be a great graphic artist and design a stunning website that looks incredible, and even though it may look really cool it’s not going to keep people on your site for very long. Take a second to contemplate how your traffic is getting to your site. Generally people are going to find and visit your site from a search engine. Those visitors were interested in finding some information and typed in a keyword or phrase which brought up your site. Even though a site may look cool, if it doesn’t provide the quality content that the visitor is looking for, the back button is just a click away.

But as a publisher if you are able to offer unique quality content that can be found on very few sites visitors are likely to stay on your site for a longer period of time. Not only that, but after reading what they had initially visited your site for in the first place, if the visitor was pleased with the information that was found they may even start looking through other pages on the website. Having a great looking site in addition to having quality content is a bonus, and only furthers your chances that visitors will stay on your site for a longer period of time and possibly return at a later date.

Overall, content is King and any other unique quality features that your site offers that differentiates itself from similar websites is an added bonus. Just remember to spend extra time reviewing your content while designing, even after you think that it’s complete and perfect, and your site will be on its way to be listed on google page one!

5 Things To Do To Cash In On Blog Marketing

Some people are perfectly happy to blog for the fun of it. However, others are in it for the money. It is possible to make money at home as a blogger.

Ultimately blogging comes down to attracting new readers on a consistent basis. You then need to keep those people coming back for more. To do this there are a few things you must learn how to do it consistently worked on.

1. Write interesting content. The best way to do this is to start a blog in a niche you have knowledge on, or have a passion for.

You’ll find it’s much easier to sit down and write blog articles when you don’t have spent a lot of time researching. Not only that, but when you write from the position of passion or experience it will come across in the type of articles you write.

Is your blog going to be informational by nature? Hopefully it will be. However, you also want to interject things into your writing style that are controversial, humorous, and so on.

2. SEO your blog posts. Optimize your blog articles around keyword phrases people are searching for relating to the theme of your blog.

Keep your content tightly focused around a specific niche. This makes it easier to build a keyword list that you can write blog articles around.

Include your keyword phrases in the title of the blog post. Also include the exact keyword phrase in the first and last paragraphs of the blog article. Then in the body of the article use variations of this phrase as it sounds natural.

3. Update your blog regularly. You do not have to do a blog article every day if you do not want to. However, at least be committed enough to your blog to update your content one or two times a week.

Many people who are busy will sit down on a Sunday afternoon and write one month’s worth of blog content. You can then publish your posts to be updated in advance based on the schedule you choose.

4. Blog comments. Encourage your readers to post comments on the blog articles you are writing. To develop some good backlinks go out and make blog comments on other people’s blogs.

You can subscribe to Google Alerts for the primary keyword phrase of your blog. Every day in your email inbox you can receive updates on blogs that relate to your specific keyword phrase.

When making a blog comment use your primary keyword phrase in the name field. This will help you build backlinks based around the relevancy of those keyword phrases.

5. Monetize your blog. Join affiliate programs and place banners for them on your blog. Also join Google Adsense and include some Google ads on your blog. These are two proven ways for you to make money as a blogger.

Doing these 5 things will help you cash in on blog marketing. You need a commitment to make your blog as good as it can be. When you do that you will attract readers on a consistent basis and that will lead to more income for you.

Using Blog Marketing As A Home Business

Home business owners are beginning to catch on to the importance of having a blog to market their business on the Internet. This is a great way to accomplish many things that you could not do with other types of Internet marketing.

Some Internet marketers actually do blogging as their primary business. If this interests you then you can set up blogs and promote specific products to make money at home.

You could establish a blog and use it as sample content to sell your services to other bloggers. The opportunities to earn a full-time living as a blogger had never been better.

Many bloggers start a new blog every day and the owner quickly loses their enthusiasm to write and submit fresh content. When you consider there are literally millions of blogs on the Internet right now that need unique content added to them the possibilities for you to make money writing as a blogger are endless.

If you would like to start a blog around a specific theme this is not hard to get going. A fast way to do that is to join Blogger.com and set your blog up in a couple of minutes with no technical experience required.

This is also the perfect time to join Google Adsense and become an affiliate for this popular Google affiliate program. You can easily make money your blog with Google ads just by clicking a couple of buttons to place the ads in your blog. Google sells the advertising for you and pays you when people click on the ads.

Another thing to do is to host your own blog. I like Host Gator, but there are many good hosting websites online. Find one that has the Fantastico program for setting up a WordPress blog with no technical experience.

WordPress has many free and paid themes you can choose from. Initially you just want to get started and then you can make changes to the theme at a later date.

Search engine optimization is one thing you should do to help your blog rank for specific keyword phrases. I like the free version of Traffic Travis which is a great tool to build a list of a couple hundred keyword phrases.

If you write blog articles around your keyword list over time you will develop a solid group of articles that define what your blog is about and the search engines will reward you with high rankings.

If all of this seems like too much work you can always outsource your content needs to a blog writer. There are plenty of people who will write good content for a reasonable price. As the number of blogs you are managing grows this is a great way to combine blog marketing and a home business to create an Internet income of your own.
